Hi, I’m Jacie! I’m the mom to two sweet & feral kids and am married to my amazing husband Tyler! If I’m not attending births or visits, you can catch me working out, planning my next trip, or running around with my babies!

Where it all started…

I had a fascination with birth long before I was ready for my own babies. I had friends of mine in college watching home birth videos with me late at night, whatever it was with the process, I was so in awe.

When I saw two pink lines for the first time, I immediately had the thought that I wanted to have an out of hospital birth. I didn’t know how but honestly the idea even sounded crazy.. and bringing up to family that had never heard of the idea was even crazier. But I went for it, with full support from my husband and mom.

I remember replaying my pregnancy journey and birth over and over in my head. I felt respected and cared for the whole time, and after chatting with a couple friends that wasn’t the case for everyone. I knew one day I wanted to help all mothers feel the same respect and care that I received.. the care they deserved.. I just wasn’t sure what capacity that would be in.

I met two of my best friends in birth class, and for their next pregnancies, they both allowed me to attend their birth. Both of their births, in their own ways, sent me on the pursuit to support women in the most vulnerable time of their lives.
